對打規則：

A score is awarded when a technique is performed according to the following criteria to a scoring area：

一個得分的判定，是當技術的完成而依據下列標準到達得分部位：

a) Good form                    良好的姿勢

b) Sporting attitude           運動的態度

c) Vigorous application      充沛的運用

d) Awareness (ZANSHIN) 警覺性(殘心)

e) Good timing                 良好的時機

f) Correct distance             正確的距離

型規則：

The Kata must be performed with competence, and must demonstrate a clear understanding of the traditional principles it contains. In assessing the performance of a contestant or team the Judges will

look for:

形必須表現能力，而且必須展現出清楚理解所包含的傳統原理。在評估個人或團體之表演時，裁判必須觀察：

a. A realistic demonstration of the Kata meaning.

   真實的展現形的含意。

b. Understanding of the techniques being used (BUNKAI).

   充分理解所使用的技術(分解〝BUNKAI〞)。

c. Good timing, rhythm, speed, balance, and focus of power (KIME).

   良好的時機，節奏，速度，平衡和力量的集中﹝KIME 極限﹞。

d. Correct and proper use of breathing as an aid to KIME.

   正確和適當的運用呼吸以協助力量的爆發﹝KIME 極限﹞。

e. Correct focus of attention (CHAKUGAN) and concentration.

   正確目標的集中(CHAKUGAN 著眼)與專注。

f. Correct stances (DACHI) with proper tension in the legs, and feet flat on the floor.

  正確的站立法(DACHI)，在腿部具有適當的張力，同時腳平貼於地面。

g. Proper tension in the abdomen (HARA) and no bobbing up and down of the hips when moving.

   在腹部(HARA)要有適當的張力，當移動時臀部不會上下晃動。

h. Correct form (KIHON) of the style being demonstrated.

   展現出各流派正確的動作(KIHON 基本)。

i. The performance should also be evaluated with a view to discerning other points such as the difficulty of the kata presented.

  形的表演應該同時評估與觀察其他的重點，例如形難度的表現。

j. In Team Kata synchronisation without external cues is an added factor.

  在團體形時，不可為達到一致性，而有外加的輔助動作。
